THE FEAR OF FAILURE KEEPS YOU SMALL
It’s hard to feel like a failure and succeed at the same time.
The two just seem to be like oil and water.
It’s ok to fail… You just missed the mark.
The secret is to meet failure with a great attitude.
Every successful person is someone who has failed at some time.
It comes with the territory.
So how can you fail, not take it personally and then move forward?
1. Don’t base who you are (your self-worth) on your performance
2. Take responsibility for what you did, but don’t take the failure personally
3. See each failure as a one of incident, not a lifelong saga
4. Keep your expectations reasonable
5. Are you doing whatever you need to do to achieve your success?
6. Focus on your strengths
7. Focus on what you can do, not what you can’t do
8. Are you ready to learn from someone who has already done it?
9. Get back up on the horse
10. Life is a series of outcomes
Sometimes we get what we want and sometimes we don’t. A failure does not make you a failure. It gets you closer to what you want, your greatest desire. Get back into the arena.
“Every upset can take you closer to your goal. Be willing to take the chance. The freedom to be yourself is exhilarating. He who has begun his task has half done it” …… Horace
