BE MORE SPECIFIC, SAY WHAT YOU REALLY MEAN
The way you think and communicate will either enhance or restrict your ability to change and move forward in your life. Let’s keep it simple.
What if you were to eliminate a few key words that keep you in a restrictive pattern in your communication? Wouldn’t that be great!
For a start, here are four words you could exit from your vocabulary:
· All
· Every
· Never
· Always
You might be thinking why these words?
I use them all the time.
These words just generalize what you are talking about.
These words do not allow you to be powerful, clear and concise.
These words are too broad and either understate or exaggerate.
You can do better than this.
Be more specific, say what you REALLY mean.
Clarify your communication with others.
Eliminate these broad generalizations.
Pay attention to what you say and choose words that empower you and create a better understanding on the part of the listener.
Watch how your energy changes as you choose new words to express who you are. Communicate and connect.
“Honest, open communication is the only street that leads us into the real world… We then begin to grow as never before. And once we are on this road, happiness cannot be far away.” John Joseph Powel
