ARE WE MISSING THE GOOD STUFF OF LIFE
Like every one of you I also look for inspiration in my life.
Inspiration can arrive in different ways, a great movie, a beautiful song, the written word. There is inspiration from the deeds that people do and a beautiful sunset at the end of the day. It is all around us. Sometimes there are so many disturbances in the way, that we miss the good stuff of life.
I like to read and often find inspirational passages from old and loved texts as well as modern authors. Imagine when I read this, written by the scientist, Albert Einstein. It reminded me that science and God are just a heartbeat away. That inspired me.
“A human being is a part of the whole called the universe, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest, a kind of an optical delusion of…… consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons near to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in all its beauty. Nobody is able to achieve this completely, but the striving for such achievements is in itself part of the liberation and foundation for inner security.” Albert Einstein
